Feta & Olives Breadsticks

FETA & OLIVES BREADSTICKS

 

 

 

Super fluffy and extra tasty, these beauties are loaded with the best fresh Greek feta cheese and delicious Kalamata olives!   They’re  are perfect for any occasion. WARNING….they’re very addictive!

Ingredients:
For the dough:
*2/3 cup sunflower
*2 cups lukewarm milk
*1 tbsp dried yeast
*2 tsp baking soda
*1 tsp salt
*1 tbsp sugar
*4-6 cups flour, sifted

For the filling:
*2 cups crumbled feta cheese
*1 cup chopped Kalamata olives

For brushing:
*2 egg yolks

 


 

Directions:

 

In a large bowl, mix the yeast with milk and sugar, and set aside for 5 minutes.

Add in the oil, salt and sift in the the flour and baking powder.

Knead until soft and fluffy dough. Cover the bowl with a plastic wrap and let rise for 1 hour.

On a clean surface, sprinkle flour and divide the dough into balls (size of large mandarin)

Lightly press each ball and place a full spoon of crumbled feta-olive mixture on each circle and fold the dough, creating a stick.

Place them on a baking sheet.

After filling the pan, cover it with a clean kitchen towel for 10 minutes. Brush with egg and bake at 180 degrees until golden.

    You did clarify the sunflower product. Seeds, flour? At what point do we add it?

      Please read the recipe again.
