GREEK PORTOKALOPITA – ORANGE PIE
This Juicy portokalopita will amaze you !!
*2 cups sugar
*3 cups water
Separate the phyllo pastry sheets and set them aside to dry for 30 min.
In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients and combine gently into a thin, creamy batter.
Tear the phyllo pastry sheets into small pieces and put them into the bowl with the mixture.
Pour the the mixture into the greased rectangle (30×23) baking pan and bake in the oven at 180°C for 30 min or until golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool.
Meanwhile, prepare the syrup: put the ingredients for the syrup in a small saucepan and cook for 10 min.
Cut the cooled pie into eaqule square pieces and drizzle with syrup. Serve with IceCream.
