2 ingredient Greek Yogurt bread

Greek Yogurt Bread – Quick, Easy & Delicious.

Sometimes the best recipes are the simplest ones. This 2-ingredient bread is the perfect example — no yeast, no long proofing times, and no complicated steps. Just self-raising flour and Greek yogurt, and you’ll have a golden, crusty loaf ready in under an hour.

This bread has a lovely balance of textures: a crisp, crunchy crust and a soft, satisfying interior. It’s not quite as airy as a traditional yeast bread, but it’s wonderfully flavorful — more like an Irish soda bread with a Mediterranean twist.

It’s perfect for breakfast, alongside a steaming bowl of soup, or simply toasted and slathered with butter.

500g self-raising flour

475g Greek yogurt, full fat

Generous pinch of salt

Optional: dried herbs (oregano, rosemary, thyme), or spices (garlic powder, paprika)

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-raising flour and salt. Add any herbs or spices you’d like. Pour in the Greek yogurt and mix with a spoon or your hands until a soft dough forms.

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a loaf. Place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, preheat your oven to 180°C fan / 200°C regular.

Bake the bread for 40–45 minutes, or until the base sounds hollow when tapped.

If using an air fryer, set it to bake at the same temperature.

Transfer the loaf to a wire rack and allow it to cool slightly before slicing.

Enjoy warm with butter, honey, or a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
