Tyropita with puff pastry

Crisp puff pastry with a rich filling of Greek cheeses and an amazing aroma are enough to make this cheese pie your favorite.

Super quick & extract delicious, this simple Tyropita is perfect for all occasions.

Ingredients:

1 pack puff pastry
350gr feta cheese , crumbled
150gr ricotta cheese, crumbled
1 egg
1/3 tsp ground pepper
1/2 cup milk
1 egg yolk for brushing
Sesame seeds

Directions:

Open the puff pastry package and carefully unroll the sheets

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly oil a baking pan.


In a medium bowl, mix together the milk, egg, the cheeses, pepper and set aside.
Lay one sheet of puff pastry in prepared baking pan.

Spread the cheese mixture into pan and top with the second puff pastry sheet.

Brush the top with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Slightly curve the upper side with a knife into squares , but not down to the bottom. .

When ready, cut immediately the slices down to the bottom.

Bake in preheated oven for 40 to50 minutes, until golden
brown.
Cut into squares and serve while hot.»
