REINDEER COOKIES

Ingredients:

 
*325g / 11.5oz plain flour
*200g / 7oz unsalted butter, softened
*125g / 4.3oz confectioners sugar
*1 large egg
*2 tsp vanilla extract

*Red smarties or M&M’s
*Icing

 

Directions:

 
Preheat the oven to 180C

Using a food processor, combine the flour, sugar and butter until your mixture forms fine crumbs.

Add the vanilla extract and the egg and beat using a wooden spoon until you have a dough.

Wrap it in clingfilm and chill in the fridge for half an hour. Roll it out in a lightly floured surface. Use a circular cookie cutter to make your shapes.

Place the cookies on the baking tray with parchment, and bake in the oven for 10 mins or until lightly golden.

Allow to cool on the baking tray for 10 mins before you turn them out into a cooling rack.

Once cookies are cool, use the white icing to stick a red M&M or smartie on for a nose, and the chocolate tube icing to paint eyes and antlers.
